Week in Review: 6.8-6.14

My week, in review. This is a short and sweet weekly update with ratings and blurb. If they are getting their own review, I’ll share it there!

SEVEN Books this week…three physical, four e-books and three of those ARCs. I’m pretty overwhelmed with ARCs right now, no one let me on Netgalley to get trigger happy but also so excited to read the ones I have!

Physical Books

Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid – 4.25/5 TJR did it again, full review up yesterday!

What Comes After by JoAnne Tompkins – DNF This book really was well written. I know a lot of people enjoyed it but after 250 pages of it I wasn’t having it anymore, it wasn’t for me. A little too much tragedy and mystery for my Sunday afternoon.

The Rules (Summer Nights, 2) by Lauren H. Mae – 4/5 Frenemies to lovers story, I also loved catching up with the book 1 characters. Available on KU as well!

E-Books

The Catch (Summer Nights, 1) by Lauren H. Mae – 4/5 Vacation romance turned real romance. Tbh, I loved this one even more because for once in romance the women messed up and not the man.

ARCs

The Exception (Summer Nights, 3) by Lauren H. Mae and Rosalie Rooks – 4/5 The Authors provided this ARC for free in exchange for my honest opinion. Can’t wait to talk about this one, I really enjoyed the whole series and can wait to review them all.

Battle Royal by Lucy Parker – 3.75/5 Thank you to Netgalley and Avon Books for this ARC. I really enjoyed this one, slow in the beginning but a great finish! Review coming closer to publishing date, 8/17.

On the Edge by Claire Gillies – 2.75/5 The Author provided this ARC for free in exchange for my honest opinion. Unfortunately this was a miss for me, my full review is on Goodreads.

I’m about read the ARC for the Charm Offensive and I’m so excited! What are you reading this week?

See you next week!

Love,

A
